FAQ

Where are you located?
We are conveniently located in the heart of Orange County, where the 91 and 55 freeways meet in East Anaheim. We are in the "Tustin La Palma Business Center", the first shopping center after exiting the 91 Freeway at the Tustin Avenue exit. When you reach the shopping center with “Top Class Pizza” and “Sandwich Plus”, make sure to pull through to that backside of the building. When you see the beautiful view of a lake, you’ll know you’re in the right place!

What are your hours?
Our lesson hours are set by appointment only. While the majority of our lessons take place Mon-Fri from 2-8pm, we will certainly accommodate lesson times outside of that time frame if we have an instructor that has the availability to teach it. Please contact us for our current lesson availability.

What age do you recommend starting children in lessons?
Taking into consideration that every child is different and certain instruments are more challenging than others to begin, we recommend scheduling an introductory lesson so that we can help you assess your child’s readiness. Keep in mind that young students (6 or younger) often have the best success with starting on piano or violin.

Do you have lessons for adult students?
Of course! It’s never too late to learn an instrument. In fact, the positive benefits our adult students receive from taking weekly lessons are huge! Lessons offer a great way to unwind and take your mind off of the demanding workweek, and studies show that learning to play an instrument has amazing effects on cognitive and memory skills.

Do I need to buy an instrument to start lessons?
It is in your best interest to have an instrument to practice on at home. Taking lessons without an instrument to practice on can be detrimental to your progression, especially in the beginning when some of the most fundamental skills will be taught. With that being said, purchasing an instrument to start on can be very affordable! Our instructors are happy to help guide you in choosing an instrument that is a good fit for your needs and budget.

Do you offer in-home lessons?
We teach in-studio lessons only. While the convenience of in-home lessons can be great for hectic schedules, we feel the benefits that student’s gain from being in a professional studio setting far outweighs the convenience factor. Young students can often be a little “too” comfortable in their home setting, which can attribute to greater challenges with staying focused, meaning less time spent on learning. Our studio is designed to be a distraction free environment where students get the most out of their lessons and can also interact with and be inspired by fellow students. In addition, students get to learn on quality instruments, have access to our on-site music library and can purchase books from our music store.

Where do I wait during my child’s lesson?
We love having parents sit in on their children’s lessons from time to time, however, we also know that can also make certain students very nervous and if siblings are in the room, concentration can be difficult. We have several waiting rooms around the studio. Our main waiting area has coffee, free wifi and plenty of books and toys to help keep little ones occupied. We also have a room dedicated for siblings to work on homework while they wait.

Are your instructors background checked?
Yes, the safety of our students is our top priority. We make sure each and every instructor completes a successful background check before they can teach a lesson.

Do you hold recitals?
Yes! We feel giving students the experience of performing on stage in a low-pressure setting is a key part of building their confidence and bettering their music education. We host a studio concert in a beautiful Orange County venue twice a year, where students of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate.

Are there other opportunities aside from recitals for your students to perform?
Yes! We organize multiple events for our students to get involved and perform within their community. Sometimes in can be in the form of an open mic and other times, it’s to give back to the community and perform in a setting like a senior living home or children’s hospital. We do our best to utilize all of our contacts, so students have as many opportunities as possible to perform and use their music skills.

Do you allow makeup lessons?
Yes, our studio is happy to work with your busy schedule, but we do ask for our students to let us know in a timely manner if they can’t make it to a lesson. As long as our studio is notified of your absence by7pm on the evening before your scheduled lesson, we will gladly work with you to find an alternate lesson day or time for that week.

This does not affect the monthly rate. We accept all major credit/debit cards and offer the convenience of auto-billing.
